I had a really great experience with Secure Data Recovery. My 6-year-old Seagate BarraCuda 5TB drive (from a Backup Plus Portable) suddenly quit working. They diagnosed failed read/write heads with light platter damage.Kyle kept me well updated throughout the entire process. They successfully recovered 287,223 files totaling ~4.4 TB, including thousands of JPEGs, PNGs, Adobe Photoshop (.PSD) files, Lightroom catalogs, PDFs, and many other important documents.A lot of the data was irreplaceable family files. While the price was on the higher side, the results were excellent and I’m very grateful to the whole team — especially Kyle Moravcik.I highly recommend Secure Data if you have critical data that needs to be saved!

I had the best experience with Secure Data. before I sent to them I sent to the lab which I bought the data recovery insurance from AMAZON: (TOOK 1 MONTH!!!!!)"Unfortunately, our laboratory was unable to recover the data from your device. Due to hardware-level encryption that is permanently tied to the drive’s original components, the device did not become accessible following recovery attempts, and data recovery could not be completed."Then I sent all the info to another lab called $300 DATA RECOVERY, and they answered: "Definitely SMR since helium. It uses something akin to TRIM. Unfortunately, these drives remove data immediately once deleted. I’m afraid recovery is not possible in this case."While Secure Data said since the first call: Sure, send and we will get it done... (AND THEY DID, super fast!)The whole Hard drive with working files, (zero corrupted files! Lightroom, videos, photos, PSDs, Illustrators, Premiere Projects.) were sent back to me (more than 12TB)Hope there is not a next time, but if so, first thing, I will just send to SECURE DATA immediately.

I sure have a story, one day in 2017, coffee spills on my hard drive. BUT wait, I don''t get around to mailing it in anywhere till 2019. I wasn''t ready to hear the news about how much it costs. Life happens and so did COVID! I kept my drive in a dark, dry, place and hoped for the best. FINALLY, in 2026 (yes almost 9 years since my coffee spilled), I had a different job and saved up for this big MUST HAVE in my life and never gave up on my precious photos being recovered. I try Secure Data Recovery again and they only got bigger and better, not to mention hiring great employees like JOSEF LANG who was supportive and patient from day one. I got all my files and a brand new high quality hard drive sent to me within such a fast turnaround time.
