When Encryption option is on, ClevX Crypto Module will work together with both the backup/restore SecureBackup for USB Drive application and Anti-Virus application providing additional layer of protection (AV + encryption).
When Encryption option is on , all user files are AES256Bit encrypted in transit and in the cloud. Encryption is using FIPS 140-2 Certified openSSL encryption engine and can sustain HIPAA compliance.

How do I install SecureBackup for USB Drive?
First, download the latest version from our website. Then double-click the USB-to-Cloud-Installer.exe, select the desired portable drive, and click the Install button.
How do I get started?
Insert your portable storage device into the USB drive. If the autoplay dialog appears, select Open Folder to View Files. (If not, no worries! You will need to open it manually using File Explorer.) Double-click the SecureBackup for USB Drive application and follow the onscreen instructions.
How do I know my files were backed up?
The SecureBackup for USB Drive icon in the Windows tray will show a green circle with a checkmark to indicate that the backup process is complete.

Do I need to take special steps to eject my SecureBackup for USB Drive from my computer?
You can right-click on the icon in the Windows tray that helps you safely remove hardware and eject media. However, because SecureBackup for USB Drive continuously checks for changes, you may get an unwarranted warning not to eject your storage device. As long as your computer is not interacting with the drive, though, you can safely remove it.

Does SecureBackup for USB Drive skip files it has already saved?
Yes. After the initial backup, SecureBackup for USB Drive performs an incremental backup.
What if I don’t want to back up everything on the device?
Under Settings, you can uncheck any folders you do not want to include in the backup.

Can I activate more than one free trial?
You can only activate one free trial per device. However, there is no per-computer or per-person limit, so you can activate a free trial on as many different devices as you like.
Are licenses transferable?
No. Because SecureBackup for USB Drive uses a Unique Device Identifier (UDI), you must purchase a separate license for each new device.

Which clouds are supported?
The following clouds are currently supported: Dropbox, Google Drive, Box and iCloud. We plan to offer more options soon. You can also back up to any network or local drive using NAS (Network Attached Storage).

How do I restore files from my backup?
In the SecureBackup for USB Drive menu, select Restore. Wait for all the information to load, then choose which files you would like to restore and where to restore them. You can restore without your SecureBackup for USB Drive device by logging into your cloud storage and accessing the Apps/USB-to-Cloud folders there.

What if my computer gets a virus?
SecureBackup for USB Drive offers a portable anti-virus application that can be used to protect your device from malware and viruses. However, this feature is optional and be activated under Settings before it will work.
