Earlier this week, Apple introduced the new Haswell-updated iMac line-up, following in the footsteps of other recent Haswell-upgraded product lines.
Each of the iMac offerings, 21.5" and 27", receive the upgraded Haswell processor while continuing to use last year's upgraded chassis. Internally, the iMacs will switch to a PCIe for SSD implementation. The new iMacs will also continue to include the Fusion Drive, which is Apple's version of a HDD/SSD hybrid storage drive, will still only use 128GB of flash as in previous versions. The new iMacs also come with new available upgrade options that include a 1TB SSD, various levels of graphic processors, multiple CPUs, and 802.11ac support.
A note to early adopters and Thunderbird enthusiasts, the new iMac will continue to use Thunderbird 1.0, instead of the available Thunderbird 2.0.
